After saving for two mother/daughter trips, I am back to save for a family trip! It will be my son's first trip, husband's 3rd (he is not really a crowd and Disney sort of person, so it could be his last!), daughter's 3rd, and my 8th trip. I would love to save $2000-2500 to use towards tickets, lodging, and food for a trip in late 2012 or early 2013. I am starting out with this deposit: $51.65 unused giftcard balance from 2011 trip $331 payment for items I make and sell at a stationery shop $60 payment for archival consulting at local museum $5 rebate $20 payment for superhero cape I made for a friend $200 Christmas money from husband's grandmother $1 Dollar Surveys payment $6.37 Ebates payment $12 Pinecone Research payment $6 won in grocery store promotion TOTAL IN FUND: $693.02/$2500... $1806.98 to go! I am taking a jar of coins to the bank today, too! It is in a coin counting bank that my kids occasionally mess with... it may or may not contain $83.07 depending on how many times they have fiddled with the coins and counting mechanism.  |

I have been helping my mom go through 40+ years of accumulation in her basement. MANY hours in and MANY more to go. I wasn't planning on her paying me, but she slipped a $100 check into my purse, so into the fund it goes! Woohoo!

I love when I get almost as much back as I paid for something!! I do this a lot with clearance Target clothes...get them for next to nothing. I told my mom I really just "rent" things! Great deposit.
