I made another deposit at the end of August. One way I increased our deposit was I took some of my textbooks from college and looked them up on amazon and I got a gift card for them. I figure I can easily use the money for items for the trip or for Christmas presents. So I will put the actual cash into our disney fund. So here was my deposit: $162.87 from Amazon trade in, $56.10 from coupons, $39 in extra bucks and target gift cards, $27.46 in credit card rebates, $18.97 in change collected for the month, $11.69 for items I sold on ebay, $17 in rebates, $60 from surveys. This is a total of $393.09 for a month of August. This brings my total to [glow=red,2,300]$1443.99![/glow] I think its great for 3 months! So here's the bad news. I am doing evertything I can to save money to go on a trip and my husband just doesn't want to go! It's really depressing me. He says he needs a break.

bummer that hubby doesnt want to go on trip, you can take me in his place, just kidding. what about just you and the kids? I hope he changes his mind. Great savings so far

I don't know what's wrong with him. I don't think I can handle 3 kids by myself....I am just going to continue to save and then spring it on him in a few months. I am thinking about going in September or October of 2012. I had a garage sale this weekend and I made $305, so I deposited that along with a 7 dollar rebate check. ...For a total of [glow=red,2,300]$1755.99[/glow]!

Janelle, last year I took my two daughters 10 & 7 ( actually they were 9 & 6 at the time). It was so easy. If your boys are helpful, it may be easier than you think. Good luck & great savings!!! Donna

Here's my September deposit.... $97.05 in saved money from coupons, $64 in Extra Bucks from CVS & GC from Target $31.85 from rebates/savings from credit cards $506 from a garage sale $7 in valvoline rebate $83 from surveys from Swagbucks and other survey sites $ 788.90 Total! I was a little slow this month and really not into couponing and filling out surveys...i felt like this month flew by. My Cards made it to the World Series (and won, yeah!!!!) So I spent a lot of time watching the games and not really couponing and saving in other areas. So I deposited a total of $282.44 this month, mostly from coupons and some really good Extra Bucks deals at CVS and Walgreens. About $50 of it was from rebates - I'm really liking the rebates! So that is a grand total of $2521.39/$5000. Halfway there!  [/url] |

I stopped blogging about my savings since my husband didn't really want to go. However he changed his mind! So we are looking at going in October of 2012. I had to promise him we would do knew things.
Has anyone gone during Columbus Day weekend? Is it really crowded?
Also I have an 12 and 11 year old plus I have a baby that will be a little over 2 years old then. I have no idea what hotel to stay at. She is very squirmy. I do not know if she weill sleep in a pack in play. Does anyone know if some hotels possibly have queen beds? I saw that port orleans riverside sleeps 5, does anyone know if the bed rails fit on that extra bed?
I have still been saving....so I am at a total of $3587.49/$5000.00
