[glow=red,2,300][/glow]I stumbled upon this site a month ago...and I love it! I have been saving money for a trip and have been really excited, but no one is sharing my enthusiasm of the amount I have saved...so I turn to you for support! I am not sure when we are going to go to Disney World. I am thinking either in February or September of 2012 - I know quite a difference, but I am trying to see when is the best time to take off school and it really depends on how long it will take me to save enough money. My goal is $5000. I am not sure if we are going to fly, but if we don't I will use money on other things like the water parks or a park hopper. I also am not sure where to stay. I have been there numerous times and I love the moderate resorts, but am willing to go elsewhere. I am taking my husband, 12 year old and 10 year old boys and my daughter who will be around 2 and will probably not sleep in a pack in play...any suggestions on where to stay? I made a Deposit in June: $40.92 in coupon savings, $25 in Target gift cards for buying items and getting $5 back, $20 in extra-bucks from Walgreen's and cvs, $139.50 from travel reimbursement from my work, $398 from a garage sale I had last week, $25.50 from spare change, $38.70 in found money, $14.95 from selling some items on ebay, and $17.99 in rebates for a total of [glow=red,2,300]$720.56.[/glow] $4279.44 to go.....

Great start! I am not sure if any of the value resorts will sleep 5. I do know that Port Orleans-Riverside will. Will she sleep in the bed with her brothers?

She is all over the place...so I doubt it. I know if she sleeps with me I do not really get much sleep. I heard about Port Orleans with the extra bed, but I didn't know if it was a bed that a bed rail could be put on it, isn't it like hidden under another bed?

You're off to a great start!
POR has rooms that will sleep five. The one bed is a trundle bed and comes out of the bottom of the double bed. Or you can go for one of the suites in All Star Music or even Art of Animation. They sleep six but as a fair warning, they cost more than the moderate resorts!

I went to the zoo last Saturday and we decided to become zoo members since we go there so much - it was worth it. Well originally I was not going to take this fee of $80 out of the vacation fund, but while I was at the zoo, I discovered my camera was broken. So now I have to buy a new camera. So unfortuantly, I cannot afford to pay for both out of pocket, so I am deducting $80 from the vacation amount

Think of it as a investment and now you will have a new camera to take all those pictures.

I had bought a Wii about 3 years ago and I rarely use it. I was going to keep it for when the kids got older, so we could play together in the living room. THen I realized that I am constantly restricting their video game time so why would I attempt to make it a family thing when we have lots of other stuff we could do. So I found someone to buy it for $100. I am putting the $80 that I took away earlier back into the account to pay for the zoo membership!

I made some good progress on my fund this month. I made a deposit and added $106.75 from coupon savings, $47.50 for extrabucks and target gift cards, $117.21 from credit card rebates,$5 from a gift card I didn't know I had (i used it and put a 5 in the fund) $22.38 in change for the month, and $25 in swagbucks for a total of $323.84. This makes my fund for disney now $1050.90!!!! I broke the 1000 mark! Yeah!
