Thanks ladies! I'm so excited to stay at AKL. I've stayed at WL before and from what I know, the same person designed both. So if you love one, you'll love the other. WL is my favorite resort so I'm sure I'll love AKL just as much. I made another deposit today! I'm on a roll!  $10 - Paypal trasnfer from MySurvey Rewards $7.01 - transfer from ING checking. I use that checking account to save for things as well. It was recently cleaned out because of our move (I used it for security deposit & rent & whatever else we needed) but now it's being used for my Christmas money fund. I made $70 deposit in that account (bi-weekly from my paycheck) and took 10% of it to put in my Disney fund. Total deposit - $17.01 New grand total - $268.10 $1,731.90 to go! |

I got my commission check for the third quarter. Most of that is marked for bills (ugh) but I took $50 and put it in my Disney Fund.

$15 - tips from AAA members (I'm a TA - doesn't happen often but twice this month it did!)
$4 - winnings from scratch off lotto ticket
$35 - total deposit

Our DVC rental reservation is confirmed! Lynn (the DVC member I'm renting from) made the reservation Sunday. Fingers crossed we get a savannah view!

That is awesome. SO how do you like being a TA? it is my dream job and to specialize in disney lol but was not sure if i needed to have a degree or anything. there is a program here through college it is hotel and tourism.
Hope you get a savannah view, it would be so cool

Overall, I really enjoy it. There are great perks to it with all the discounts we get & it's fun helping people plan their trips, especially to dinner. But like any job, it has it's ups & downs! I'm not sure if it varies by state but I don't have a degree in anything travel or tourism related. Mostly they just want people who have traveled a lot & can offer great customer service.

There are a lot of online agencies that specialize in Disney only. A few that I know of are Small World Vacations and Kingdom Konsultants. I know a few of the girls that work for Kingdom Konsultants and they're the nicest bunch of people!

It's been a slow month for saving with the holidays coming up. I've only manage to make a $7 deposit since my last update, bringing my grand total to $367.10. I've recently joined Sunshine Rewards and that's a great site to help save for a Disney trip! I've been a member since Oct 28 and have accumulated about $23 so far. You can exchange credits for paypal deposits, Amazon gift cards, or the best DISNEY gift cards. My goal is a $250 gift card to put toward DDP or our tickets. I've also had very good luck with MyPoints lately as well. Have qualified for a bunch of surveys and they even sent me paper towels to test. I got 300 points for that! My goal there is to get as many Walgreen's gift cards as I can; they can be used to purchase Disney gift cards. A $50 card is 7,250. My current point balance is 3,125 so I'm close to being halfway there! I've been doing a lot of holiday shopping through Ebates so I should have some Disney money coming from there. MySurvey has been a bit slow lately but I have enough points right now for at least a $10 Paypal deposit. Hopefully I can knock it up to $20. I usually cash the points at the end of each month. I've made $30 since joining in July. And that's how my Disney savings report is coming along  |

I have had a hard time qualifying on Mysurvey here lately too. I also use mypoints but never do the surveys. I may have to try my hand at them. I-Say has been slow as well.

MySurvey has been terrible lately! I don't qualify and the surveys I do get are only worth 30 points or an entry for their drawing. Lame.
