Has anyone managed to do any of the Dr. Scholl's deals as described? I tried the arch inserts one, and it didn't work because apparently the coupon in the Walgreens booklet is a manufacturer's coupon, so I couldn't use it with the printable. Are all the coupons in the booklets manufacturer's? Has it always been that way??

Those are usually store coupons. I don't remember any of them being mfg coupons before.

I thought that they were always store coupons in the past as well. But I haven't used them often enough to be sure. This one rang up as a manu coupon, and so I read the fine print on it, and it said "manufacturer's coupon redeemable at Walgreens", or something to that effect.
I realized after the fact, though, that it's still a freebie with just the booklet coupon, so I went back today and did the deal. The arch supports were priced at $7.49 each. I bought two and used the coupon, which took off $10, making my total $4.98 + tax, and then I got back $5.00 RR.
