I am new to this site, so if my questions don't belong/need to be moved,I apologize. My DH and I were planning to go to Disney in October to celebrate our son's 9th birthday with friends. DH had to recently take a 20% paycut,so due to poor planning (I guess), we have lost some $$ we had saved. I am new to couponing, so I haven't really saved alot of $$ to put back for the trip. Can anyone give advice on ways we can "round up" some $$ quickly? I know it may not be a large amount, but maybe in the neighborhood of around $300-400. I really appreciate it!

One way that I hae been able to grow our fund pretty quick is to take the total amount of coupon savings and put that into the fund. If you save $1 then in goes a $1 and so on. I also do not make correct change anywhere! All of the change goes into a jar and counted out every two weeks. It averages $10 to $15 a week. Another way is to have a yard sale. I am planning one very soon and all of it will be for the fund. Keep your head up and you will get there!

We are planning on going in October as well. I have set a goal to save $300 myself. I just posted on another post, but can give it to you here as well. I use a website daily that I take surveys on, among other things, you can shop too and earn but if you are trying to save, that may not be an option. Although I have purchased regular items online just for the savings. Anyway, you can earn over $6 a day just in surveys, then you can cash out at anytime with many different gift cards. Disney, walmart, target etc. Your account is updated frequently and gift cards only take a few days to receive. I have earned $75 just in July. It's credible. Not a scam. I do it during down time at work or at home. Can even do it on my phone. If you are interested, it's free. Highlight and paste the following website : www2.quickrewards.net/?r=!F94VXV35D2E19 Let me know what if this helps..... hope your husbands paycut doesn't last long.....

Try literally "rounding up" your expenditures (and rounding down your deposits). I round up/down to the nearest dollar on every expense and it gets me about $100 "extra" every 2-3 months. Not a TON of money, but an effortless way to do it!

Just thought of something else...do you have a Disney Visa? If so, put your trip on it (and pay it off when due, OR if you're disciplined, since there is 0% on Disney Vacations, put the trip money in a high interest account and then pay it off at the 6 months and you'll have extra $$ too.
The thing is, if you put the trip on the card, then when the billing cycle ends you get that "free" money in Disney Reward Dollars too. There's also a sign-up bonus right now that I've seen (supposedly for DVC members but anyone can sign up) where you get a $100 GC after your first use. Even if you only use the card one time for, say, a $1 Redbox rental....that's $100 in your pocket!

Great news! Our trip is coming up soon and wanted to fill you guys in on how our saving is coming. We have saved a little money by couponing and saving on bills. And just this past Friday, my husband's work gave him a bonus for the past 6 months...so we have the $$ we need to pay off our trip, just in time too!! Yay!! Now to wait for hubby's work to put him back to full pay...

Coupon, Coupon, Coupon and use all the store loyalty cards you can. Don't spend your change. I collected all my change for 6 months and came up with $130.00. :oTake advantage of employee discounts. Alot of times if you are a teacher or work for a union you can get add'tnl. savings. Then you can take those savings out of your checking and deposit into you fund. Also, don't forget rebates. Recently I have been able to "fund" $25 in rebates on products I would have bought anyway. Remember, "Pennies make dollars" and even though you don't think that $2 here and $5 there count the really do add up. Best of luck and keep on saving!!!!

Hello. We recycle cans, participate in surveys, rebates, Ebates, and collect all loose change. It adds up. Since November by little ones have saved $300.00 with doing all these things. Good luck.
