I need to have about $963.00 in Dental work Done! Now the amount may change a bit since I have a second insurance I don't think the Dentist took into consideration when I got the estimate. I know for a FACT the second insurance will not pay for any of the two crowns I need. That is $777.20. So now is the time to start saving the money for at least the crowns. I will call tomorrow or Tuesday to see if the other insurance covers any of the fillings. Needed: $777.20 Starting: $0.10 As I get work done...I will be changing the amount needed...since I can not wait till have saved it all to get started. Now let me say...FLOSS PEOPLE!

Okay talk to the dentist today....
This is just the fillings:
First appt. is going to cost $100.00 plus $50 if I get the gas Second appt. is going to cost $91 plus $50 if I get the gas
So I have to save $150.00 for the first appt. Then I will get $60 from Flex Spending, going toward the second appt.
One crown will get done this year and one will have to wait till next year.
So now the savings begin............

Today I took an empty Crystal light can (the tall ones) and took of the wrapper. I put my dentist bill around it. So now I put my extra change and any found money in there. Seeing the dentist bill in there will deter me from "borrowing" from it.

I love the idea of the can with the bill around it! I feel you on the dental work! I didn't have decent dental insurance for years so I slacked off on going to see the dentist. When I finally went a few months ago they told me I needed just under $10,000 in work!!! The girl tried to soften the blow by saying "Wow! You have great insurance! Its only going to cost you about $2700 out of pocket." Ugh! I have already had an extraction, root canal and a crown this year... on hold for the rest. Need to wait for next year when we have a fresh start with the flex spending account. Hopefully I wont have any painful issues between now and then!! Good Luck!!

Dental bills, they are killer. I don't even want to see what my dentist is going to say.
Good going on putting a goal into action though!
