Cheapskates Go To Disney!

We love to go to Disney! We go an average of twice a year. We're planning to go again around Christmas time!

Hotel (5 nights at Pop Century) $850
Tickets $0 (we have annual passes)
Gas $125
Meals $400
Souvenirs/Miscellaneous/Emergency $400

Goal: $1,775

We won't be able to really start saving until after I start getting my school-year paychecks again.
We'll do what we can!

Since you have annual passes why not stay outside of resort property. Parking is free. I got 13 nights at thr Radisson Maingate for $1100 total! We have passes too and by staying there we are saving bunches!

Do you get email or mail promotions from Disney directly? Every since I began going once a year in my own name (about 6 years ago) Disney has sent me email deals or postcards with promotional codes for dining or discounted room rates! I think there is going to be some kind of room discount for Christmas time, about 30% off normal rack room rates for value resorts. Could save you some money at Pop Century if the promotion is during your planned dates!

I get every kind of email and mail promotion I can think of. We just added one more person to the trip since my oldest dd is bringing along the boyfriend. Our room is paid for as it stands but we are now searching for a house or villa since there will be 6 of us. The rate that I was able to get at the Radisson was so cheap! From previous experience there is not any specials ran on room rates during the Christmas season but that could change. Still Pop would be out for us. It is hard to accomodate 5 (now 6) without 2 rooms:(

I'll have to dig out that promotion card I got in the mail, but the 35% or 40% of value resort thing I got was like up until Dec 18th I think. I'll check but it may not be cheaper than off grounds. I'll let you know!

Thanks a bunch but we will not be checking in until the 19th but.....we will not be leaving until the 1st of Jan.
