We've been saving for a little over a year, but haven't been very aggressive about saving, not our trip is coming up quick and I need to start getting more aggressive about it. We are going first week of October in hopes that the park will be fairly slow. It will be Myself, Hubby our 7 year old son and 11 year old daughter. Not sure where we are staying yet, our friend may be blessing us with her timeshare but I haven't locked that in yet.
Total saved so far: 560.00 which includes gift card from Disney visa, Disney rewards and change thrown into our Disney jar every time I spend cash.
Hoping to save at least $1,000 by Sept. 28th.

October is a wonderful time of the year to visit the parks. There are sites you can go to that will show you the predicted crowd levels for every day of the year. The one I like the best is Touring Plans. It cost about $12 to join but has been well worth the money. I am a part itme TA and use it every time I book a vacation for a client. Good luck with your savings! You are doing a great job.
