We went to Disney for the first time EVER in March of 2011 and loved it so much we're saving to go back. We have a goal of $3000 and used some of our tax return to put our deposit down on the condo we LOVED last time. We're driving from Wisconsin, and that makes the trip part of the fun! Our girls will be 13 and 10 when we go this time. So far, $220 is already down for a deposit, and I started a separate fund as I'm working for the first time in MANY years and earning a bit of money. Thus far, $200 in the stash. Hopefully my next deposit will be from piano lessons....around $40 . Can't wait. I've learned as a busy full time student, wife, and working mom that my freezer is my BEST friend. I cook up meals on the weekend and freeze them. When I'm stressed and busy I pull out something the night before and dinner is ready in a snap. Save a lot of $$ from eating out! Oh, a tip I got from our last visit....BRING snacks into the park. We had little fanny packs (yes, ugly, but SO worth it) and we saved a fortune with this. We packed fruit snacks, raisins, pretzels, granola bars and such. It brought our Disney budget down by quite a bit just doing this, and as long as you open your bag to show them the park security is totally fine with it.

Great start and good luck! Snacks are the bomb!!! We never go into the park without them.
