We are looking to go back in February 2013. My kids will be 11 & 7 when we go. I have been doing surveys, rebates, couponing all stuff I have been learning from this site. I have been saving for the last year and have saved $2125.00 That is 50% of my budget for our trip. We plan on 5 nights/6 days with the dining plan. We drive down from Michigan & stop for the night near Atlanta. I thought if I put this in writing I will stick to it better.  12/31/11 $2125/$4250

Well I am adding to the fund. I had $100 Amex gift card from a contest I won on the radio. I had $20 from Serve.com, $15 from bottle returns, & $20 left over from grocery budget. So I am adding $155 to the fund.
;D 2125 + 155= $2280
$2280/$4250
53.6% of my goal met!!!

Another addition to the fund. I got a check for $27 from inbox dollars. It takes a while to cash out with them but they are quick to send your payment. 1/22 $2307/$4250 54.2% of my goal met |

Added $63 to the fund. I had a class action lawsuit settlement of $15, I had a payment from youthfeedback.com for some surveys of $35, and I had bought some coffee for my Mom & she paid me back for $13. $2370/$4250 55.8% of goal!!

Great! I'm impressed you're driving from MI. We're in Iowa and the thought of driving is kinda overwhelming. But the more I check airfare, the better its sounding. |

We always drive because DH doesn't like to fly. We usually leave really early in the AM. We stop overnight near Atlanta. There is a Country Inn that has an indoor pool so the kids can burn off some energy. I just make sure we have plenty of snacks, the Nintendo DS, headphones, the portable DVD players, & a stack of movies. It is a journey but we have so much more room for luggage & souviniers.

I had a great deposit this week! I had some found money. I got a refund from my insurance company for overpayment of $375!!!!! Wowza!! I cashed out from My Points for a $25 Gas Gift Card. I got a $5 gas gift card from my Dr. office raffle. I added $405! ;D 2370+405= 2775 65.2% of my goal

I had another good deposit this week. I added $20 from surveys at ACOP & $100 from a focus group I did last night. SO I am adding $120 to the fund. $2775 + 120= $2895 That's 68.1% of my goal met!!
