This is my first time posting in the forum. I have been watching couponing to Disney for quite some time, but my husband was unemployed at the time so the savings just meant we could keep going a little longer until he got a job.
Well, HE GOT A JOB! After 22 months of unemployment! It was such a blessing! We took what was left of our money and he and I went to Disneyland for our 5th anniversary! It was the best trip of my whole life.
While we were there my husband kept saying how much our kids would love this or that (It was his first time) so when we got back we talked about it and decided that we would start saving to take our family to Disney World in 2013!
Our enthusiasm over our decision spilled over and now my hubby's entire family is planning to go at the same time! Since we all live in different states this will be an awesome chance to celebrate our family!
We are planning on a 10 day trip for our family of four (possibly 5 by then!) at the end of September- October so we can hit Mickey's Halloween Party and the Epcot Food and Wine festival. We want to get the deluxe dining plan, and stay at a value resort to save our money for other things. We also want to do a lot of "extra" things while we are there, to cross things off our bucket lists (each member of our family has one!). To do everything we want to do it is going to cost about $3,800+ Airfare which should be about $1,200, so our goal is $5,000! This does count of them offering the free dining plan when we go though... so hopefully that works out!
So far we don't have anything in our fund. We are trying to get current on all our obligations by the end of the year so we can start saving our extra "found" money for our dream Disney World Vacation!
We are all VERY excited to be planning and dreaming about our trip already!

I hate that you will have to postpone your trip but we know how that feels. We decided to postpone our trip next April to sometime later in the year. The economy is killing us along with helping my DH parents with some of their finances. I hope to have a loan paid for by Deceber 31st and that will help out a bunch since it is a $200 month payment.
