Hi everyone,
This is my first post on here, but I am excited to share my Disney World savings fund with you all.
A little info on me:
I am a 31 year old mother of two boys, one 10 in October and the other 10 months. I have been married to my husband for just under 12 years and am currently in college getting my Bachelors degree in Nursing.
I took my first Disney vacation ever at the age of 16 with my dad and step mother. We visited WDW and stayed at the Wilderness Lodge. Well.....that is all it really took to hook me and I have since taken 7 additional Disney vacations between WDW, Disneyland and Disney Cruise line. I have been lucky enough to hook my family on Disney as well and celebrated special events such as our "Disney-moon", birthdays and graduations with the mouse! Our most recent Disney vacation was to Disneyland resort in October of 2009 and prior to that we did a Land/Sea vacation at WDW and Disney Cruise line in October of 2008, so needless to say by the time we visit WDW in September of 2012 it will be a much needed fix to our Disney break!
So for a little bit about our September 2012 WDW Vacation Plans:
We (2 Adults, 1 Junior, 1 Infant) are booked at Port Orleans French Quarter for 6 nights/ 7 Days. We have booked the dining plan along with 7 day water parks and more. I am hoping for a great discount code or free dining but as of now we are booked with AAA for a savings of about $225 for a total package cost of $2859.06. Since we live on the west coast we will be flying so I have factored in an additional $900 for airfare bringing our grand total to $3760. I am rounding my budget up to an even $3800 in order to simply tracking.
Savings so far:
I put $200 down for deposit on our package from money that I earned from selling on eBay. I also have an additional $252 in the fund from savings from things like spare change, Sunshine Rewards, Chase Freedom credit card rewards, and extras from weekly budget for a total savings thus far of $452/$3800.
I am looking forward to sharing my savings with everyone as well as following others savings funds as well!
