Time to get started again! This time we are going for Spring Break and will have one extra traveler with us. We are a host family for a exchange student. Jospeh is 17 and is from Hong Kong. We are very excited to ba able to take him since he has never been!!!!
So with that being said we are looking at 2 joining rooms at POP for 7 nights with 4 Day hoppers since we are expericed park goers and can do AK in half a day. We are adding the basic dining plan. We have never done this but have heard really good things about it.
Total for just the package is $6850 for the six of us.
Made bi-weekly payroll deposit of $20
$20/$6850.......$6830 to go!

How nice that you're taking him to DW with you. He's going to be in awe, I'm sure! Good luck saving!

Deposit of $77.60 today. Two checks from Visalus Sciences for a total of $62.60 ($20.10 & $41.50) and $15 in cash (technically loose change - I tend to be the go to person to make change at the office since I keep my collection bucket at my desk.)

Made a decision earlier this week to hold off on this trip until we see how things are after the first of the year financally since the savings were very slow. I only have a little over $700 left on a loan that is debited through payroll along with the $20 that goes into the fund each payroll. So we decided that we would take the money already there in the savings and apply it to the loan. Brings me down to $530!! I will be making deposits to the fund but earmarking half to the loan. It will be paid off by Dec. 31 and at that time I will be increasing my payroll deduction to a higher amount.

Sounds like a good decision. Savings have been slow for me as well, mostly do to the holidays & I have some credit card debt from moving. Looking forward to the new year when all the holiday craziness is over and I can get back into saving mode!

I cashed in a bunch of change the other day. $52 worth. I went a head and made another payment to the principle on the the loan. I am now sitting at $478 owed. Regular payment of $100 will hit tomorrow and I will transfer another $20 to go with it. With 3 more paydays left in the year after tomorrow I should have no problem paying it off.
