Hello Everyone, I know planning is suppose to be fun. I for the first time am not seeing the fun in anything. I would LOVE to stay on site, but the cost is crazy. I have went to VBRO.com and I can get a 2 bedroom 2 bath condo with full kitchen for only $600 with tax. for 10 days. If we stay on site we get a very small room for almost $1000 a night. That is about $1200 before taxes. I am so pressured about the tickets as well. I would love to go to the Bahama's or a cruise as well. What to do. I would like to keep the budget as low as possible because we are planning on buying a home next year as well. I see the days go by (which I am excited about) but then get more stressed out. HELP!!!! Teresa

If you are looking at staying 10 days in the World, you might want to get an Annual Pass. Not only will you save money on your park tickets, but you can also get room discounts and dining discounts. For an extra $75, you can add the tables of wonderland card to your annual pass to save 20% off your meals. This is a far better deal than the dining plan.
If you have your heart set on staying on property, then you can rent a spot at Fort Wilderness Campground and rent a trailer camper for the week. For about $1200 for a week, you can rent a trailer, have it delivered to Fort Wildness and even get your own golf cart! Plus if you rent a car, you can cook all your meals in your trailer.
Another option is to rent DVC points. You can get a spacious villa where you can also cook your meals. If you are looking at the cheapest trip possible, then offsite is the way to go. Just remember that time is money and you will save a ton of time by staying on property. Also, if you are staying off property and have annual passes, you don't have to pay for parking.

I had no idea about VBRO until you posted it. Thank you, Teresa! Also, I agree with the Annual Pass idea!

If you have a big group, I've heard great things about All Star Vacation Homes. Some of them have their own movie theater in them! We personally like to stay on property because time is money and we want to spend as much time in the parks as possible.
