Hi everyone! I just got back from a wonderful solo trip to the world. While I was there I had a bounceback in my room for 35% off a room only rate! I of course booked it!
My hope is to be able to have my brother and his family come down and join me along with my mom who lives in Florida. My brother is in the military so they should be able to get a great deal, it would be the 2 adults a 4yr old and a 9 month old.
Right now I have a preferred room at Port Orleans Riverside from October 25-29.
My budget:
Room: $561
Pass: have an annual pass
Flight: $300 (I currently have $210 in southwest funds so really I need $150 ish)
Food: $300 (I'm hoping to be able to add the deluxe dining plan)
Spending: $300
MNSSHP: $60
Total: $1400

I made my room deposit of $138 which leaves my room balance to be $422.
I also have a disney gift card balance from this previous trip of $62.00
So my total saved: 200/1400! Not bad considering I just started!

I went to rebook a southwest air fare credit that I had purchased in Feb. and when I went to re-book to my new flight for October it told me that my credits will expire before that...? I just purchased them in Feb and so Feb-Oct is certainly not more then a year and since southwest credits are suppose to be valid for 1yr I'm kinda rather upset about this... Has any one else had this happen to them? I'm going to call but I can't until I get home tonight...

we might be changing our hotels... it might now be that we need 3 rooms at the pop century (myself in my own room, mom and her bf in a second room and my brother and his family in a third room) or if moms bf doesn't go then my mother and i will split a room at POR which would mean only paying half of a room... but of course if we go to Pop then I'll have to pay for the whole room but I imagine the cost of the pop will be much less then that POR I am very much hoping to stay at the POR not because I will be splitting a room but because I love that resort and I just stayed at Pop this month  |

Port Orleans-Riverside has always been our favorite resort. We like POP too!! Good job on your savings! Keep it up!

So like all my other trips to the world my plans have changed... apparently my brother just got told that he will be on maneuvers in October so they won't be able to make it but we are planning on going in May 2012... SOOO it has changed just to a mommy and me trip. We are going to change resorts and stay at the Caribbean beach resort we've stayed at the Port Orleans before but not the Caribbean beach so we are going to stay preferred there and I hope to request Martinique building 26 first floor

adding $2 left over from my breakfast (I splurged and went to McD it was a rough monday morning and I needed it) I also am going to adjust my budget since I will be splitting my room with my mom...so instead of $561 for the room with the deposit of $138 making the balance of the room $423 My portion of the room would be $281 and since I made the deposit my balance is $143 So my total for this trip: $1100 (I always round up) So I'm at $275/1100 $875 to go! thats practically nothing! |

Hooray for more deposits! I have only stayed at two Disney resorts, never CBR... looks lovely!
