Thanks!! Kim, I signed up with a babysitting agency in my area that places babysitters with families. Basically, I call in each week and tell them my schedule and what days/times I'm available and then throughout the week I get texts telling me about babysitting jobs that are needing to be filled. We live near the beach and there is a large resort that my agency has a contract with, so a lot of my high paying jobs ($15/hr) come from there. But, I've also posted on craigslist a few times and have been lucky enough to find 2 great families that I sit for regularly (I charge $10/hour). I'd recommend looking in your area for an agency to sign up with (Google Babysitting and Nanny agencies)...that's how I found mine and applied online, then interviewed w/the owner:)

We signed up for the Disney Rewards Visa Card and transferred the small balance from our AMEX to the Disney Visa (that way, we didn't have to actually make a new purchase on the card to get the promotion reward). The awesome promotion and reason we did this balance transfer?? We got a $150 Disney gift card for signing up!! Which means, $150 more toward the Disney fund!!! Woohoo!! *Side note: After crunching some numbers, we've decided that buying annual passes are going to actually save us some $ in the long run, since we already have trips planned for Dec '10, June '11 and Dec '11...so my "goal" amount has changed!
Deposit: $150 Disney gift card Total in Disney Fund as of today: $871!! Goal: $1512.88 ($1062.88 for annual passes plus $450 spending $ for Dec '10 trip!) Amount left to save: $641.88 by December 17, 2010

It's been awhile since I've posted, but I have GREAT news! We did it!! Since Aug 26th (the last time I posted), we have deposited $641.88 into our Disney fund, meaning we have met our goal amount of $1512.88!!!! Here's the breakdown:
Previous balance in Disney fund: $871 Deposit from babysitting jobs: $241.88 Deposit from selling our old washer and dryer on craigslist: $400 Goal: $1512.88 (we are buying annual passes for $1062.88 and planning on $450 spending money for our December trip!) Amount left to save?? ZERO!!!!!!!! Woohoo!!
**I think I'll start saving up for Christmas gifts next and then attack saving spending money for June trip to Disney!!**

How exciting. We were going to buy a annual pass because hubbie and I are going back next year. We decided to just fork out the money then. Hope you have a great time on your trip!
