I've been dieting for about half my life. I have been up and down several times. I have been on-again-off-again since September of 2009, and am ready to be on-again until I finally accomplish my goal. I've lost 21 pounds since September and am looking to lose 50 more. I'm looking forward to making good progress right along with you, Kristin!

I, too, am ready to lose this weight that has been bothering me. I have 20 pounds of baby weight I just never lost. I know it's only because I haven't gotten myself motivated enough to get off my butt! I am ready to do this with you guys, though!!

I started training with Miles that Matter on Sat. I had my family walk with me on Sunday and I train Mon, Wed, and Sat. My goal is to walk the 10k race on Sept 18, 2010 and run the Princess Disney race in Feb? I have over 80 pounds to lose but I am taking back my life and doing something for myself for a change. I went cold turkey on regular coke.....three days and counting. LOL.....Oh....I hate WATER so this is tough!!!!

I get bored of plain water very easily. I make some of my favorite Crystal Light or use one of their on-the-go packets. It's 5 calories a serving but that's so much less than soda and helps me drink a LOT more water. I don't always stay on it, but I try. This reminds me to go make a pitcher, actually. I've been slacking on my water intake lately.

I am VERY READY to lose my post baby weight!! My daughter is over 5 months old and in the first few weeks after birth, I felt like I lost all of the "water weight" easily...but, I have approx. 20lbs left that I just haven't even dealt with and I'm finally annoyed!! Every time I go to get dressed I get bummed out and almost want to put my maternity clothes back on... I don't, but I want to! lol...anyway, I need an accountability partner, so maybe this blog can help! What do y'all do or what have you heard about regarding ways to lose that baby weight...

I have 15 pounds of baby weight that I need to lose as well. The worst part I had actually lost all but 5 pounds of it and when I stopped nursing a few months ago I gained 10 lbs!!! Ugh!! My son is 10 months old now so I really don't have any excuse. Would anyone be interested in a weekly check in thread were we can share our weight loss each week as well as healthy meals and snacks etc.?

I walk everyday and in training to run the Disney Princess in Feb. My goal is to lose 60 pounds. I have three kids 18,8,5. I have done everything to counting my caleries to adding my points and nothing worked before. I now have the mind set to do this and I'm walking. I cut out the pop and drink water, sobe etc. I eat plenty of fruits and veggies. I eat chicken a piece of pizza etc. so I'm not depriving myself. I eat nothing fried.

Hi!! Just stopping by and realized there was a Minniemize forum!! I am 29, and in the last year was diagnosed with a Mitochondrial disease. It makes it difficult to be active. At the beginning of this year, long before Disney was even a thought for me, I decided I was going to lose weight. I am only 5ft 1 in and at the time I started I was 220 pounds!! Shame..... Crying shame... =)
So I set out, got a body bugg, calculated all my intakes of calories, carbs and fat, and made it less than the Body bugg said I was using. SOunds simple huh? That's what I thought to, but seriously, it worked! hahahaha! As simple as that... It was one of the hardest things I have ever done though because I love love love chocolate like you wouldn't believe!! =)
I lost 34 pounds, weighed in at 186 by March 1st!! Then I had another really bad flare up of my disease and wasn't able to get out walking like I had been and after that my eating was all a mess, because I have trouble swallowing when I'm sick. Having lettuce get stuck in your wind pipe is no fun!! The damage tallied in at a gain of 5 pounds during the last couple of months. No bueno!! But it's not as bad as it could have been.
I've spent the last two weeks trying to figure out how to eat and be fit around my illness, partly out of this insane need to feel better before Disney next year! Thanks Kristen for your motivation!!
I have re-lost and am now at 189. My goal is to be 150 before my graduation for Master's Degree in Nursing in December! How cool would that be? Then another 30 pounds lighter before our trip to Disney next year.
Thanks for all the motivation!!
