I'm intrigued by the "family suites" at Art of Animation. I've booked into Animal Kingdom, but like the idea of having a separate sleeping area for the kids and for us since we have a toddler, an almost teenager and us. Has anyone stayed there?

It doesn't open until tomorrow. I would stay at Animal Kingdom for the animals and dining options.

If you are looking for more room, Disney's newest resort is a great way to get it! Spacious family suites are designed to comfortably accommodate up to 6 Guests and include:
2 separate bathrooms A master bedroom 3 separate sleeping areas within the living space, which includes a generously sized dining or work table that easily transforms into a comfortable bed.
While this resort is considered a value resort, unless you are staying in the Little Mermaid Rooms, which are just standard rooms, the prices are more on par with the moderate resorts. BUT they are still a great option for guests that are traveling with more than 4 guests or for parents that are looking for a little privacy!

We decided to keep our booking at Animal Kingdom with the bunk bed room. We were able to take advantage of the new military discount and I think that evens out the savings we would have gotten by staying there. I think we might try it on our next trip. It's hard to tell what the savings would be really unless I call them and I've already had to change dates and dining reservations so I think I might just be done!
