Decided to wait til June to have the masonry work done. If I get it now, the "house fund" will dip to about $800 and I am scared that if I drain it that much and have another repair or emergency I will need to rely on credit cards. I need to avoid that! Hoping to set aside several hundred dollars over the next 6 weeks... of course, the census has been low at the hospital which means no extra or overtime.. the timing is VERY bad, but I have to work with the resources I have.

That said, I am still going to try to make extra payments as I can. Also, looking for a side job to supplement my income. I need to get out from under this debt!

Switching it up! This BIG debt is taking too long and I am getting antsy.. lol, so I am being "bad" and refocusing on the lower percentage/balance loan. $1800 at 5.7%. I just need to feel the success of paying something off to remotivate me. I made a $250 payment.. bringing the balance to $1550

ok, think I have my game plan in place to pay off the masonry guy, pay off the CC that has tuition on it, and continue to pay down debt. Now to just be dedicated.

Made a small extra payment of $50 to the loan I am working on, bringing the balance down to $1400. Chug Chug... The mason has been paid in full so that's one less stressor. I picked up extra shifts next week so that I can apply extra cash to the credit card balance. Hopefully, they won't cancel my extra/overtime.

Thanks, Tanya! I have been picking up OT... CC is now paid in full and between my paycheck (with a gazillion hrs of OT) and an anticipated refund, I may be able to pay off this loan in full this week!! Gonna crunch the numbers once I verify the refund went into my acct tomorrow. That will leave three high-interest (5.35-6.55%) student loans left to tackle... Well on my way to reaching my debt goal of student loans/CC/Car loan paid off by 1/2015. This doesn't include my student loans that are at 0.11%.. Those I don't stress about LOL!
