Hello! I am new here so this is very exciting. I'm a single mother of 2 saving up to take my kids to WDW. We're going to be staying with 3-9 other families at the Lake Buena Vista Resort, celebrating the 1st birthday of our children! We're flying in on Feb 1st and flying out on the 8th so we'll have 6 days at the resort. I've only just started saving at the very end of July, so far I have $124.36. It's going to be hard but I think I can do it. I've never actually tried to save money so I've been pretty enthusiastic about it. Thanks for stopping by!

My son contributed $13.50 from his piggy bank so I am going to round it up and turn it into Disney Dollars for him to use at the park for treats and souvenirs That's $14 for him!

Congrats! I think you'll be able to save what you need...have you thought about picking up extra work or selling stuff on craigslist?? My hubby's paycheck is what goes to bills and the rest of our budget so our Disney fund is saved from anything I can do (mostly babysitting, which adds up really quickly). We are going in December and staying at the Wyndham Bonnett Creek resort with family, too. Good luck!!

Charlestonmommy -- I actually have a cookie business. I don't make much from it since my sales are pretty sporadic with the economy right now but it helps here and there. Aaaand today was payday so I get to move what was left over from last payday into the fund! $81.59 up! $205.95 for me and $14 for DS

I know where you are coming from with the cookie business! I have a catering business on the side in addition to my regular full time job. It has been 4 or 5 months since the last time I had a catering job! Good deposit! Keep it up!

Tanya it seems like when it rains it pours for me. I either have nothing or I have 240 cookies to bake and deliver by noon! LOL

Alrighty, been awhile. I got slightly derailed by my son's birthday party and a few unexpected expenses. $60.61 up! $266.56 for the trip, $19.77 for DS This is not going as swiftly as I had hoped

Keep your head up girl! Some weeks are slow and you have little or nothing to deposit and then the next week.....BAM....you got $100 or more to add. You will get there!

You'll get there! I haven't made a deposit in a while because I've had to use some of the extra money I've made on car repairs or my kids' school activities! Delays are disappointing but you'll see your fund building again soon!
