Hi! I'm a single mom with 2 boys (7 and 12 yrs). My parents took me and my sister to WDW almost every year since 1986 and I've worked hard to continue that tradition with my boys! In 2003 we made a trip with my sister and her family but then financial situations kept me from going again til 2009! That was terrible for me because it's always been a "must go" vacation destination. So I worked hard and saved every chance I could in 2009. THIS year, I was laid off so I had to cancel our trip that was planned for June! I had already paid for most of it but I had to cancel in order to make sure I could pay rent and bills. Booooo! But now that I've regained a sense of order to our lives, I've started cutting cost, couponing and saving so that we can go in May or June of 2011! Trip Dates: End of May or Early June Hotel: Pop Century Guests: 1 adult, 2 kids Park Hopper: Maybe/not sure yet Dining Plan: Probably not, depends on how much I save! Goal amount: $3400 by 5/15/11 Amount saved since 6/1: $139.88 My goal amount is a total of my estimated package amount, rental car to drive there, gas, hotels on the road, food and spending money. Depending on what promotions Disney runs, my WDW package will be around $1500 or less.

@ mkaleokalani: I am a HUGE WDW fanatic! A few members here have witnessed my obsession first hand! To be honest, I always do a search on current prices, common promotions that Disney runs and come up with the most likely amount that will cover what I want to do that year. The Special deals Disney runs tend to be similar every year, sometimes they have different dates they run them for. Sometimes they extend deals. I'm really bummed that I had to cancel this year's trip because the Kids 3-9 Stay and Play Free deal made my package come out to a little under $900 for 5 days and 4 nights! I opted not to have Park Hopper, but even with it it was less than $1100 for me and my 2 kids!! I research like crazy! I'll be happy to help you determine a goal amount if you want! Let me know!

I got an unexpected $100 yesterday from a friend that I helped out a couple of months ago! I kept refusing it cuz she's a good friend and I was glad to help her but she got sneaky and sent it as a Disney Gift Card since she knows I'm saving for a trip.
Amount saved since 6/1: $239.88

I see you have dollar surveys listed, how many on average surveys do you get a week? I tried 3 last week, just to be safe that they paid, and I got paid for 2, not bad, but I haven't had the time to sit down with that site really since. Once the kids go back to school, I will but now I am too overwhelmed trying to keep up with my other sites.

I did the same thing when I first started doing DollarSurveys-I did about 3 and waited to see if they actually paid since you don't actually sign up or register with them. After I saw that I got paid, I started doing them daily. Depending on the day, I end up qualifying for 2-3 surveys. Once in a while I get lucky and they have surveys plus special offers they send to your paypal email address and I make about $8 in one day. I thought some of the surveys weren't ever paid but then I got the money another week later. Keep a tally when you do them so you know how many you need credit for. There's also an app on Facebook that lets you track how many you've done. I also got overwhelmed with all the survey sites I belong to, but I picked about 4 that are more beneficial to me and just concentrate on those. QuickRewards and SunshineRewards give me Disney Gift Cards which I'm using towards my WDW trip next year. DollarSurveys is pretty easy and I've made $47 since July 20th. InboxDollars and SendEarnings both have .50 surveys and other offers and paid emails but you can only cash out once you reach $30.
