My Sam's Club didn't have the giftcards... But when I saved for my trip with my daughter I had $475 in giftcards, in $25 & $50 amounts. I was a real pain at the end of the trip, using the bits of what was left at the gift shop. ☺ But just like you said, I wasn't going to 'borrow' from my fund if it was in gift cards!

I hope to have some type of system in place so I know which cards have been used with money left on them and which one have not been touched. Even if it is moving them from place to place in my back pack.

Went to my Sam's today...I was told that a lady had come in just a few hours before I got there and bought 24 of the gift cards. Good for her, not so happy for me.

Tanya, my friend's family has loads of old Disney tickets from back when they did not expire. They would buy them every year for their trip and always had days left. She gets those little post it notes and marks how many days there are left on the back. I bet you could do that with the gift cards since everytime you use them I think it prints the balance on the receipt...
Zoemariesmamma, bummer! I would love to get some, maybe closer to the holidays my Sam's will get them again...

Even if it is moving them from place to place in my back pack. If you are staying at a disney resort you can have you gift cards added to your key to the world cards and have charging privileges I've done this several times it and it works so much better then carrying around tons of cards and at the end when you check out they give you the balance in cash

Thanks for the tip Saving!!! I will keep that in mind. I am on vacation this week. I am hoping to get some of the final details of our trip taken care of while I am at home. On top of spring cleaning and doing a marketing project for school.

Deposit last week of $25. $20 from payroll and $5 from a rebate. New total of $638. But......we learned this weekend that the family we were going with may back out They are DVC members and we wasn't going to have to pay for anything but getting there, food, and spending money. So I am now looking for packages online. I can not take the kids since they know we are going. So if they do back out then we are shooting for Sept. 1 - Sept.6.

They have backed out on us but even worse is that we will not get to go at all this year.....my father-in-law has been in the hospital for 6 weeks now. He had two toes removed and a vascular bypass in his right leg. Yep...he's a diabetic. He has also coded twice and is still not in the clear. He has lung disease from Asbestos also. Also during this time my mother-in-law had been hospitalizes twice. Once to place a stent and the other time for a mini stroke. It has be extremly eough on us and has taken a chunk out of our emergency fund. So now we are going to have to take all of the monwy we have saved up for Disney to replenish our emergency fund. I am bummed beyond bummed........Disney is MY stress relief.
